This was soooooooooooooo much fun! I learned a lot and had an excellent time in the last 2 weeks! :)

Fun FunTech

I have loved fun tech and had so much fun while learning so much. I have learnt soo much and would love to do another course. There has been so much to learn and so many opportunities.

Review Form

I learnt a lot in these past two weeks, and enjoyed all of it very much. The teacher was very friendly and helped me whenever I had trouble understanding things. It became quite challenging towards the end, but that aspect made it more enjoyable, and I got the concepts in the end.

My daughter found this course really engaging and fun. The instructor was very patient and worked to ensure an even pace in the group. She liked creating the games and programmes and sharing her work with the rest of the family.

I would only recommend this course for younger children if they have the typing skills required and some knowledge of Python as ...

I had two children on the course. It was perfect for my older child (12) who had some Python experience previously, so he enjoyed the new skills learned on this course. I would only recommend this course for younger children if they have the typing skills required and some knowledge of Python as it was a little bit tough for my 10 yo to keep up. He did however, learn about the world of Python and walked away with some amazing new skills to build on but required support from his parents during the week to keep up. Overall, the teachers were very helpful and stepped in every time someone needed help. I would definitely recommend FunTech half-time courses to parents as they a great way to give your children a chance to learn new skills.

The Tutor always answered questions and when I finished the excercises there was always an extension to do. The extra excercises were good and at a good level. The first day was a bit of a mess but we caught up.

Going in depth has really made me open my eyes to the coding world and how it works. Altogether this was really fun and exciting and I would definitely recommend it to other children who want to improve their skills in coding!

The class was small so I think we got the attention that we needed. It was great, and I think I would do something similar again!

A fun course that's worth every second of your time

I loved this course. It was one of the most informative yet fun courses I have ever been on. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to challenge themselves and have a good time while doing it.

The teachers are very nice, and make your lesson at FunTech fun! I really like Hamza, my main teacher, he was really funny and nice, and he made sure everyone was included. He was funny and made sure everyone understood what every piece of coding meant. I also had Arianna and Harry for a bit of the lesson, and they were just as great. I cannot describe how amazing this lesson was, and learning with FunTech was definitely worth all those hours. Hamza made us laugh and we made a lot of games with him, we also made games with Arianna too. It's really hard for me to say goodbye to them after this course, and I'd love to do this all over again! Anyone reading this, I assure you FunTech is great to learn with! I am very pleased!

* teacher was excellent. he made the kids engage in discussion and that helped understanding/revision very well

Fantastic camp experience. My son really enjoyed the tutor who would stay on the call after camp ended to talk to my son about the challenge tasks. At the end of the course, my son had a real love for Python coding and keen to do more courses. Highly recommend the course.

However during Easter the same course was run as half day course for two weeks, which gives time for them to practice and also not that tiring during the weeks. Otherwise, it’s an amazing crash course to learn the basic python at an introduction level.

I booked my twelve year old onto a half term virtual camp only a couple of days before it started, as our plans had changed suddenly due to Covid restrictions. The software support we got was amazing - Funtech rang us up proactively on the Saturday and made sure we had everything downloaded in order for my son to start on the Monday. My son really enjoyed the course - the excellent tutor kept him interested and challenged and he learnt a useful new skill, Python programming, during half term. Thanks Funtech!

The course was really fun and interesting. Before this course, I knew nothing about Python but now I am able to make a Rock, Paper, Scissors game which is really cool.

I loved the python course and learnt a lot about how to code in python. I did the course in half term and found as if it was a great helpful and educational way to fill up my half term. For other people I would definitely recommend this course and the instructions given.

My 12 and 9 year old respectively attended a x2 week course, of half days, respectively learning python and scratch. They both already had a basic grounds in scratch, but the eldest had never tried python before.

They both absolutely loved the courses and were enthused to carry on beyond the lesson times. The tutors were fantastic, explaining key concepts and the fundamentals of development at a pace that kept the kids engaged. The example applications were simple, yet instructional and entertaining.

Overall the kids loved it. Half days worked really well and they absolutely want to continue, on future courses.

I found the Funtech website easy to navigate and the instructions on pre-reqs and installation clear. Tutors were awesome (thanks esp go to them); patient and knowledgeable, friendly and both my kids really enjoyed the help, support and guidance.

Would definitely recommend and will definitely be signing the kids up for future virtual and f2f courses.

In 5 days, I managed to go from not knowing anything about python to being able to do if statements, for loops, while loops and so much more. The lessons are quite fun while remaining informative so it keeps me from becoming too bored or too confused. They explain how the computer handles the code you write such as how it reads your code linearly. This helps new students learn more about the computer and how it works, thus making them understand better.
The FunTech Team is extremely supportive and encourages us to explain what is the problem with our code so that we can understand our mistakes and fixing it. They are also extremely nice towards me and my other "class" mates so I don't feel scared to talk to them. Overall, Very good lessons!

I had loads of fun learning programming and you get to make your own program at the end of the lessons.

Holiday Python course

The course has been very fruitful, with an underlying understanding of the basic principles behind the various functions in python due to having already studied Java, I have quite easily learnt many different subjects, e.g. today we learnt Bubble Sort, Searching and the Turtle.
