FunTech Camps | Terms & Conditions

1. Admission to FunTech Camps

Camp Type	Age Requirement
Virtual, Day & Flexi Camps	7 to 16 years
Residential Camps	8 to 16 years

If your child does not meet the age requirements at the start of camp, they will need to be moved to a suitable camp (if available). Otherwise, the booking is non-refundable unless a prior agreement has been made in writing with FunTech.

Age requirements ensure an appropriate learning and social environment for all students.

 

2. Payments & Fees

Payment Policy	Details
Full Payment Required	Fees must be paid in full before your child can attend.
Late Payment Fee	£25 if payment is not received before the start date.
International Payments	Any bank charges must be covered by the payer.
Refund for International Payments	Any bank transfer fees will be deducted.

 

3. Refund Policy (Cancellation by Parent)

4. Camp Swap (All Camp Types)

You may swap your camp booking through the FunTech Parent Portal up to two weeks before the camp start date, subject to availability in the chosen camp.

 

5. Cancellations by FunTech

Minimum Camp Enrolment Requirement

A minimum of 4 students is required for a camp to run. If this is not met, FunTech may cancel the camp at least 5 days before the start date. If cancelled, a credit will be applied to your FunTech Parent Account, allowing you to:

• Book another course or private lesson
• Request a refund
• Leave it as a credit on your account

 

6. Force Majeure Cancellations

If FunTech must cancel a camp due to exceptional circumstances (e.g. fire, natural disasters, disease outbreaks, government policies), we will offer:

• A bus transfer to the nearest available In-Person Camp (if applicable).
• A virtual tutor-led class.
• If no alternative is possible, a full refund will be issued within 5 working days.

 

7. Camp Operations

Hardware & Software (In-Person, Virtual & Flexi Camps)

Requirement	Responsibility
Minimum system requirements	Listed on FunTech website. Parents must ensure these are met before the camp starts.
Software installation	Provided after booking. FunTech is not responsible for incorrect installations.
Virtual Machine rental	Available from FunTech, with pre-installed course software.

 

8. Consent for Virtual & Flexi Camps

By enrolling, you consent to:

• FunTech remotely accessing your child’s computer for support.
• Your child’s webcam being shared with the tutor and group.
• Tutors muting disruptive behaviour.
• Use of third-party software (FunTech is not responsible for any issues).
• Sessions being recorded for safeguarding and deleted one week after the course ends.

 

9. Late Arrivals, Early Departures & Absence

Camp Type	Policy
Virtual & Flexi Camps	If login is more than 15 minutes late, entry cannot be guaranteed.
In-Person Camps	Late arrivals, early departures, or missed sessions are non-refundable.

 

10. Missed Sessions & Catch-Up Policy

FunTech camp courses build on skills from previous lessons, so missing part of the course can disrupt both your child’s progress and the other students in their class as the tutor has to spend time catching your child up whilst the others wait.

• If a session is missed in a progressive course, a catch-up lesson (£45 per hour) must be completed before rejoining.
• If the course allows standalone learning, no catch-up is required.
• If a required catch-up is not completed, continued attendance may not be possible, and fees are non-refundable.

 

11. Behaviour & Discipline (All Camp Types)

12. Activities (In-Person & Flexi Camps)

FunTech camps include both computer-based learning and physical activities during breaks.

Football	Rounders	Ultimate Frisbee

By enrolling, you confirm your child is physically fit to participate. Health concerns must be notified in writing before attendance.

Public Liability Insurance available on request.

 

13. Personal Property (All Camp Types)

Lost or damaged items	FunTech is not responsible.
Bringing valuables	Not advised.
Need to contact home?	A telephone will be made available.

 

14. Photography & Video Recording (All Camp Types)

FunTech may take photos and videos for promotional purposes (website, brochures, social media, etc.).

To opt out, email media@funtech.co.uk with:

1. Your child’s name
2. The camp they are attending

 

15. Safeguarding & Medical Policies
