iGCSE Review

Doing the iGCSE course with FunTech was a good decision and a better alternative to doing it at school. All the teachers are helpful when you find something difficult and the work is challenging but not impossible.

FunTech is amazing. The tutors are great, and the lessons are very clear. I find that they make the topics very easy to understand, and then give you opportunities to use that knowledge in short, but well made homework tasks and questions in the lesson.

I really enjoyed FunTech as it was a really enjoyable way to learn a interesting skill. The tutors are great and they give you help whenever you need it but also encourage you to try fix the problem on your own. It was a really fun year and I had a nice time learning to code.

In PC03, we applied the skills from PC01 and PC02 to create our own games using Pygame. We started by making red squares then slowly built up to harder and better things like healthbars and characters. After we learnt how to make our games, we learnt how to make them multiplayer with socket. We learnt all the principles in basic networking and it was a definite 5-star for me. The tutor was really nice, guiding me through bits I got wrong and I'm excited for PC04!

Great learning about game design and development in UE5.

it helped with understanding more coding techniques that were not taught to me in school and that has been useful in my GCSE computer science course.

I really enjoyed a loved the system used to teach and the lesson were always fun, except sometimes I would notice that there was maybe one to many recap lessons. my first 2 terms were private due to joining late and my teacher was really good at what he did, making me look forward to lessons. this continued into term 3. thank you very much for teaching me.

Fun and interesting!

We've covered such a wide range of topics over the year and I found the lessons well-paced and well designed. The tutors were really helpful and attentive and I feel like I've learnt a lot! I especially enjoyed the later topics on designing mini-games and tkinter too. Thank you! :)

Very good term

The ideas and coding learnt from this year was very fun to go through and is able to be transferred to many different libraries other than the PyGame we have learnt. In all it was a good year and a fun topic to finish on

Everything about the course with FunTech is great and very educational. The homework is difficult but it really consolidates it so it is worth it. Overall an amazing course and I enjoy every lesson.

Great and enjoyable year

Personally, I thought the lessons are great and enjoyable. Furthermore, the prep sessions were very good to place things in my long term memory by recapping the information we learned in the lessons. FunTech really has helped me through this year, which has been worth it.

My Experience with FunTech

I found my first year of the iGCSE course very enjoyable. It combined my love of coding and love of how computers work, in a fun and sometimes challenging way.

Honestly, I found everything soo fun and although some bits were rather challenging, my tutor me helped me so I was able to figure out the solution myself.
Overall, it has been a great year!

This year at FunTech went well. The course was entertaining and intriguing, but there were definitely some challenging topics that took a while to understand. Prep sessions went great (didn't have many), but something that I found as "the worst part" of my course (not in a terrible way at all) would be homework. It would sometimes be a lot of things, and one of the things that it wouldn't be was easy. I suppose it was meant to be tricky for a reason, but in my personal opinion, it was really really challenging. This didn't apply to all pieces of homework, though; when the tricky pieces of homework would come up, it would take a while to complete. However, it was a small little thing that was completely oversized by the amazing content and interesting lessons!

Really Enjoyed The Course

I learnt a lot from the course and found the tutoring very helpful. I think it was a good difficulty of challenges since they weren't impossible but they where still challenging enough to make sure I'm learning. Will carry on with the course next year.

Funtech was very fun, taught me morre skills than computing at school and helped a lot. I like how organised it is and especially when you miss a lesson you can do a catch up lesson.

I really enjoyed it and was not afraid to ask for help when I needed it. I am happy that I have leant new skills that I can use in the future. There is nothing I would change about it. It was really good.

I liked making platform and music adjustments to both construct 3 and microbit

Brilliant!

Overall, I had an excellent year. There were bits where I didn't understand the work, but it was always explained clearly and I learnt a lot. I've made a lot of progress, especially in the last few months, and I'm very much looking forward to PC05 in September.

my funtech year was full of change with the start of the year in private lessons. I was so happy when i was put with my teacher. He is a great teacher. The courses were also great with my favorote being the adobe. It was a great year and thourerly enjoyed it. 5 stars.
