The skills checks were brilliant and i think the only problem i encountered was connection issues and not doing what was required for the catchup lessons. I have had an amazing time doing this FunTech course it has been so much fun and I have learnt a lot of new stuff and have developed a lot of new skills. This has been an amazing year I have had an amazing opportunity . -T

a great way to learn coding from start to end

the fast track covers everything from getting information and printing right up to using external windows like graphs and tkinter. All of the sessions are covered very well and even if they arent, prep lessons are avaible if it wasnt working the first time.

The course has a great balance of challenge and learning with support from the wonderful staff at FunTech the whole way. I thank all my teachers for their hard work and effort in helping through this year as I have developed and broadened my understanding of programming beyond what I could have imagined previously.

Funtech - A Review

This year has been very fun. One of my favorite parts was creating my own table on what I wanted (I did books) today. Of course I put my in-progress book as rated 11/10. The banter and chat was fun as well. There were many other fun times throughout the year but a can't recall them at this moment.

This course has been really helpful to me in getting started with some more complicated Python coding concepts and is useful to me when starting A-Level Computer Science. Most of the content learnt can be found in my courses so now I am at an advantage when taking them, it is great. The overall tutoring was good and the help is efficient and easy to understand once explained, if I didn't understand something at first. I would definitely recommend this course.

I found learning python interesting and new for me and I had lots of fun learning it and making games! There were parts i struggled on but they were all explained really well and helped me develop my learning even further! Thank you for the wonderful lessons! :D

Python

Funtech has taught me how to code in python. This has been really useful to learn and is good experience for me. We learnt tkinter, pygame and even networking to create multiplayer games. This was a good course and I would definitely recommend doing this.

Overall this year with funtech has been really nice. My teachers were really kind and my lesson varied with interesting information. Funtech is really fun and I wish to have more lessons in the future.

The tutor was also very nice, always willing to help people out no matter what they were stuck on, and there is really nothing to dislike about it. I am looking forward to PCO3.

Brilliant

It was a brilliant course, we learnt tkinter which is a GUI and abstract data types and pathfinding algorithms. This was a brilliant course with excellent projects such as Pac-Man with levels, Battleships and a working Login Form.

Roblox Game Developer

It was extremely fun to do and I leant a lot although we didn't do lua coding whereas the page for this course says it has lua coding. I learnt how to use constraints, forces, properties and the terrain editor!

this year was great i learned so many new skills i didn't even know i had.
My favorite subject was PhotoShop i quickly got new friends and it was extrordanarely good as allways . the teachrs where realy nice and freindly.

I have really enjoyed my first year at FunTech, beginning the A-Level course. I have found it challenging which I believe is important because it has helped me to become more independent and think, "outside of the box," in order to complete programming and theory tasks. I have really enjoyed my first year at FunTech, beginning the A-Level course. I have found it challenging which I believe is important because it has helped me to become more independent and think, "outside of the box," in order to complete programming and theory tasks. I quite like the homework system because it is very organised but also very friendly interface on which I can easily ask for any help or resubmit parts to ensure I reach a very good benchmark of 90% or even higher. I believe the class notes are very helpful, especially for revision however I believe more mini-assesments, perhaps half term ones would help with tracking progress and increasing motivation to revise. Furthermore having short quizzes or surprise quizzes especially on topics completed at teh very start that may have been forgotten would help with retention. Finally my Tutor Jake has been very helpful with guiding and teaching, especially with the practical aspects. One improvement on this would be in the first two terms when theres quite a lot of programming we go through in lessons, having a shared file of the programmes we look at or attempt in class with model answers from the practise questions would really help with revision and learning. Thank you for this year !
