My daughter has just completed a week of python coder level2 virtual course. It was a fairly last minute decision to book as I needed to use up some accumulated childcare vouchers that would expire on her 15th birthday (few months time). The booking system was straightforward and I was refunded once the vouchers had gone through.
The programs that were necessary to install prior to the course took around an hour- a little tricky due to the firewalls in the laptop.

The tutor was very professional, engaging and knowledgeable. Regular breaks given throughout the session, timings were perfect. A well organised course, thank you.

everything was great! as someone who is new to coding, i can say i have learnt loads! and my tutor was great:) i would totally recommend funtech to everyone, with or without coding experience and overall it was a 10 out of 10 experience!

I have built some very good memories here at FunTech. I have not only learnt a lot of python, but have made many friends and experienced a fun journey. The other courses also look very nice, and the tutors here are very fun to be around. I'm grateful to FunTech for the journey!

Summary

My experience at fun tech was very good and I am surprised how I could start from not knowing that much about coding to learning how to make my own games

Amazing!

We went through the basics of Python such as working with "if" statements, loops, print statements, etc. Overall I had an amazing experience in the course and I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

I just want to say it was an amazing week with lots of smiles and fun. But the best thing this week was the course, the funny tutors (especially Daniel) and my beloved friends. I just want to say... KEEP IT UP FUNTECH.

This is the most fun I have ever had at a summer camp. I'm not particularly that into coding but coming to this camp changed my mind. We learnt tonnes everyday but I never once felt tired or that I needed a break because they always perfectly balanced coding with fun and breaks (coding itself is pretty fun too). We have five breaks a day (including lunch) so I never felt tired. The activities where pretty fun, capture the flag, cross the channel and the incredibly boring and hated cones and craters (The other two are very fun though) as sports activities during the day and if you are residential (like me) there is movie night, game night and dodgeball etc. The other kids at the camp were good too and I made lots of new friends. The tutors are awesome though, they always make everything fun and funny. They would come in halfway through our class wearing pineapple sunglasses and flowers and ask who wants to do just dance? They always mingled and had fun with the kids at the camp and there was never a moment when anyone misbehaved and the tutors got angry at us (why can't normal school be like this???). The meals where also great btw and the rooms are clean with nice views. I'm going to mis this place a lot. Thank you to all the campers and JMA (boss man JAM of our camp who is also very fun and let us walk all the way to the barrier singing 'never gonna give you up'), Beatriz (The other boss who is equally as wild), Will, Fabien and Jess (My python tutors), Mia and Drande (The ones who looked after us residential kids also very fun), 'Evil' David and Luke (Who are extremely funny and walked with me all the way back to the residence at 0.2 miles an hour when I twisted my ankle ) and the rest of the FunTech staff here who I didn't name thank-you so much for an amazing time.

This week has been a great experience. I enjoyed the python course and I learnt so much about it. Python is not that straight forward but thankfully the tutors did an excellent job of making me understand everything. The setup of the course was done very well as we did a lot of learning but we had necessary breaks at the right time to make sure we were not looking at the screen too much. The lunch time activity was very enjoyable and was done very well. My favourite part of the week was when we had to do our projects. My favourite one was making my adventure story and it made me realise how complex it is to make an adventure story and how much time it takes. But thank you to all the tutors and people for making it an enjoyable experience. I'll be back next year!

FunTech Python crash course advanced (or whatever it's called)

The Crash course was very fun because you learn so many things and get an excuse to have a extra screen time (not that I'd do that of course...).

the course was very easy to nderstand as a beginner. the teacher was friendly and very helpful and explained the course well

Python Course

The Python course was good. I learnt about various things like for loops, formatting strings and thinking about how I can use code to solve maths problems like finding the lowest common multiple of a range of numbers from 1 through to 20 and finding the largest prime factor of a number.

My daughter really enjoyed the advanced python course, having done the basic one two weeks earlier.
I was surprised at the level of coding she was able to do by the end of the course and it fits really well with what she has been/ will be doing at school.
Definitely recommend.

My Daughter enjoyed the virtual camps in Python and 3D Game Design which were convient and offered a safe space to start her learning journey. Tutors were attentive and gave her additional time, it is so important that girls can have future careers in tech and it starts without having their confidence knocked by those who have had more opportunities to test out their skills. My Daughter is keen to come back and learn more...so I am delighted that her first toe dip has been a successs and she would love a Minecraft design course aimed at secondary school age, if it is possible. Thank you Funtech team for making this learning accessible to all.

Wonderful stay at Tonbridge School

Our 13 year old had a wonderful stay at Tonbridge School. He enjoyed the Python Coder course and met lots of friends.

It’s a great course and the tutor Nathan totally motivates my child’s passion on Python. Just after the 1st course, my child can not wait for the next one! Can we enrol Python 2 as soon as possible ? :)
