It was very good. I learnt a lot, and it sparked my interest into Java - a totally new language! I had some prior experience in Python, which helped make this course even more better, as I could easily relate a lot of knowledge here with that in Python. My teacher was very good as well, as he clearly explained all the things too, and helped in the right amount - not too much that I end up relying on him, and not too little that I scratch my head all the time. Just the right amount of help in the times needed. Overall, I really enjoyed this course, and do look forward to coding in Java again!

Great week

My sons really enjoyed FunTech. Small class and great tuition. Plus lots of opportunity to burn off energy in the breaks. The leader was great at helping build their confidence when they found something challenging.

She is a Roblox fan, so when I found FunTech we enrolled her on two courses on Roblox Game Designer (parts 1 and 2). \nIt was a Virtual Camp and although she needed a little help getting set up, she was fine once connected to the class and sharing the screen. She found it both fun and challenging. The tutors were very good and listened to the feedback. As a parent it was great to see my child in relaxed classroom environment, gaining confidence while having fun. Highly recommended.

As a parent, I’ve seen him really enjoying all the courses he took and all the sessions within them. The tutors have always been very knowledgeable and supportive for both students and parents. I was always provided detailed feedback on my son’s progress. It was really great to see him thriving and thoroughly enjoying spending time with his classmates and tutors.

Great Course

The course was really, fun to go through. I enjoyed the first day a little less as it was boring, but the other days were very enjoyable. The 4th and 5th day was my favourite overall as we did the most fun tasks and made the better bots.

Great camp overall

Great camp overall and I really enjoyed it. I had a bit trouble adapting to bad internet but it was a very good camp learning overall and I would definitely sign up for the next one.

I really enjoyed learning about more complex projects, and despite a slow start they picked up in pace and difficulty throughout the week.

This is one of the best courses I have ever done and I thoroughly enjoyed it and learned a lot in a very short period. It is excellent for all levels as, at the beginning, they do a quick refresher to ensure that everybody is around the same level or at least those less familiar with Python can catch up and understand it to a level that they can apply their knowledge effectively. My tutor Finley is very kind, always willing to help and never boring, unlike in other courses I have done at other camps. He is very passionate about his job and very knowledgeable in his field of teaching. You should have quite a few projects at the end of the course that you can feel happy with as you have made them yourself, and the overall format of the course is well-thought-out and straightforward. There are sometimes issues with understanding the content, considering the amount of information we learn at once. However, as long as you have a great tutor like mine, he will be happy to explain it entirely to you so that you can better grasp what you are coding and the logic behind it.

I can sum up my experience this week with FunTech in one word; superb. Superb teachers, who're always are the help and guide you in the right direction; Amazing lessons, that keep every one engaged and excited to learn; Fantastic breaks; that give us moments of rest whilst also being really fun! In summary, FunTech Barbican is one of the best Computer Science Camps you could ever go to. In my time at the camp\n\nI studied Ethical Hacking (Hackathon) in a group of 6 , which was not so many that I did not get the help I needed in a timely fashion, but not too many that I was able to grow friendships and bonds with the people in my group. The Teacher who taught us (Alliyah) was always there when we needed, and explained what we needed to do, and why we needed to do it; a perfect example of a model teacher. The Teacher and my group where not the only upsides though; the curriculum that they taught us was both entertaining and engaging with interesting subjects and topics that covered the whole field of Cyber Security from Ethics to Social Engineering. \n\nIn conclusion, my time at FunTech was "the Ritz", a 10/10 experience and would 100% do again if they had a second, more advanced, course. No matter there age, you kid will love and enjoy there time here.
