My FunTech experience

I have had a really fun experinence at FunTech over the past week and have learnt lots of new skills and meet lots of new people this week has been 5/5 and I will defintly come to Fun Tech again

Coding Camp Review (24/07/23-28/07/23)

I really enjoyed my week here at camp. I think I learned a lot considering that I knew absolutely nothing about python beforehand. Thank you everybody for this great time and I will make sure to recommend FunTech to others.

Funtech review

Funtech was very interesting and fun. I learnt a lot during the week about python. I got help with the things that I didn't know how to do which was very helpful. The topics and tasks were explained well which helped me understand how to do them.

Great fun and learned a lot

My son enjoyed the course very much, the tutor was excellent and the small class of 6 was a suitable number. He enjoyed the content and has certainly learned a lot about coding. He's keen to do more!

Over my 3D game design course I really enjoyed learning new skills on the excellent software Unreal Engine and I loved my final product of my game. Over my 3D game design course I really enjoyed learning new skills on the excellent software Unreal Engine and I loved my final product of my game. The staff here were so incredibly friendly, helpful and polite. Everyone was so kind funny and supportive they shared there game ideas and codes to others. During lunch we were joking about and during breaks outside I played basketball football and a little bit of tennis. The environment of the classroom was very good the temperature was very adjustable and normally very good. Due to it being relatively warm out, the fans were on almost every day. Everyone in the other courses were very nice and friendly and we normally played together at break. The breaks were a very good length giving you a good break every hour and lunch was a good length to eat your food.

The place was managed very well the staff looking after us extremely well always checking if we were alright in the camp. The area we were in was very well looked after by the staff at Funtech and of the school we were at, the toilets were clean and tidy and the classroom was always spick and span and it gave a great feel to have a really tidy room. The videos made by Funtech were always clear and brief which meant that we are able to do the tasks more efficiently and quickly. The things that Funtech added onto the computers were amazingly designed such as furniture and textures to add onto our maps to make them hundreds of times better. The computers were of such good quality and the picture was very clear.

I liked the camp and would like to come again. One thing I would change is if We could switch to unreal engine 5 as 4 is a bit outdated and Unreal engine 5 is much more easier to use

Thanks to all the staff members / teachers for teaching me how to use unreal engine. I've had a really fun, amazing time here. The staff even made sure to help me understand the work even though i have a learning disability. I would even consider working here as a summer time job some point in the future. Probably will go to this camp again and will 100% recommend to other people i know. Thanks for all the great fun and thanks to the staff remembers to make sure everyone was safe and having a good time.

pretty much learn how to make 3D game through week - it was fun time doing this - got to use Unreal Engine to make game - instruction clear - staff really nice : help out alot

I really liked the camp! learning python was great and most of the kids were nice and behaved. I am glad I went to this camp.

Special thanks to Oliver and Eva as they helped me solve a lot of problems and were the instructors of my class.

Great, educational and fun course

Thank you FunTech - Charlie hugely enjoyed his course. Aidan, the teacher was patient and great with the kids and Charlie had a brilliant time and learnt lots. The Support Team also checked in on us if they felt we needed help. Would definitely recommend.

Great course

Thank you FunTech, Will had a great time. The course was engaging and gave my son the opportunity to learn a new coding programme to a depth he wouldn’t have got at school. Lovely tutor too.

My experience at funtech was incredible ,you learn so many things .My favourite program was sound wait ,you clap and your robot moves .It is sad that it came to the end but if I had to rate it out of 10 it would be 10 .This is an amazing camp ,one of the best .

it was the best club ever

i am so sad that i have to go today. i have had such a fun week. our teachers are so nice and they even brought in a great mouse for the class to use. i loved that we got to make our own games or work with others. this was the best holiday club ever. i made so many friends.

The most fun thing was making the obbies even though my obby got deleted it was very fun building terrain. i liked learning how to add, delete and i cant believe that i learnt so much in only 22 hours (i did the maths).

Review

The camp was very helpful in terms of aiding you through learning python, the tutor thoroughly helped me when I got stuck at some parts of the course. While we may have gone through the course too quickly, I still managed to get enough coverage on the units.

Java - coding course

Good introductory lesson to java, instructions given are clear and the course challenges me throughout the week, which is great!

Phenomenal

I've never been in a camp that is so fun that time feels non-existent. It was definitely worth the 10 days. I have been in a camp previously and I can say that now 2 out of 2 camps, funtech is a brilliant way to get taught how to code or use technology.
