I really recommend this camp to anyone who wants to give coding a try. This course has taught me a lot about Java coding (using Eclipse) and Nathan was very helpful. I was able to make several basic games and the course was very interesting. However, don't expect to be playing games, because it is coding, not gaming.
The only thing which stops this from being 5 star was that there were not enough balls to use during break & lunch.

If I had the chance I would do the course again.

Funtech Summer Camp

I have learnt more here than I would in a year of lessons at school. If we found the work difficult, he would help us but not completely tell us the answer, which was really helpful. The music was really really irritating. Other than that i really enjoyed myself. :-)

Java coding 1

I really enjoyed the course. It was very relaxed, but in a way which allowed us to get work done. It was a very calm environment, and I found that this made it all the more enjoyable. The only downside to the course was the music which accompanied the videos. IT IS THE WORST MUSIC... otherwise......

I loved the games and I like the teachers! For all years. We hope you will enjoy the camp like me.I learnt to do some letters without looking at the key board! I recommend you will love it.

Best camp ever

I definitely recommend this camp for all ages.I have learned how to type without looking at the keyboard. It is really helpful if your child is going to have a exam and they have to type. Overall i think this camp is the best , your kid will love it!

My best game at FunTech is Backspace and i met lots of new friends.

It was so fun

I think the games improved my typing so much and they didn't make me bored. I think it stops me relying on the keyboard.

REALLY FUN!!!!!!!

Really fun and a good way to get us (kids) to learn a good skill to have in school and work.
We got to play loads of fun games e.g techman which is a typing version of pack man.

I started the week knowing nothing but finished the week knowing how to touch-type half the letters on the keyboard! I enjoyed learning and playing the games.

It was absolutely amazing! Apart from a tiny bit of disorganization and time wasting on the first day but the tutors were very attentive and always knew the answers to all our questions. All tutors encouraged us and engaged with all of our work (they even let us download work from home to look at it!) . As it was the first time running courses at this venue (JW3) it was very well run and the tutors always strived to do the best they could and make the course most comfortable for us.

From Parent: Very good and leant loads. The tutors were really engaged and were confident in the content they were teaching and that they always knew the answers to their questions. He worked on individual work at home which the tutors were happy to look at the next day which he found really encouraging. Also mentioned that having lunch in the dance room was better as they had more lunch time as well as learning time. Really wants to do JC L2.

Fun FunTech

FunTech is an amazing camp were you can learn how to code and it's a time to remember. NEVER say that your bored because the tutors always have a plan to turn your frown into the smile of a clown. I enjoyed my time at FunTech I hope you do to.

This was an amazing camp I learnt so much things about Java and I can take in all the info i learnt.
it was so fun. I found it quite challenging but that made it fun.

Java coding

The tutors were very helpful and explained things very clearly. The breaks were quite fun and the lunches were also good. There was a lot of content to learn from and challenges. everything was good except the long day but fortunately there were a lot of breaks.

I think that the tutor and the camp were amazing, the way we learned was really good and the other teachers were all fair. I think it was great.

The Java camp was very good, the place was fantastic, I enjoyed the breaks the tutors were fantastic, the course was very challenging (which is a good thing) and my companions were fantastic, excellent camp I would recommend it.
