We are extremely happy with FunTech. Our 9 year-old son has an interest in coding. He thoroughly enjoyed the course. The materials and sessions are interactive and very well prepared. After short theoretical introductions, which are made very engaging and interesting, the children work in practical exercises with the support of the tutor. My son learnt a lot and also had fun. I have now decided to register him for the term time courses. Excellent course!

Our son has learnt a lot and now he knows what a real scripting is about. He still loves. 3hrs were a lot but doable. It was amazing to see what he was able to do after a week of learning.

James really enjoyed the Minecraft course and felt he learnt a lot from it.

I could see that he was engaging really well and focusing on the task at hand. The pace of the course was good and Omar made sure that he had plenty of time to devote to each student.

We had a couple of software issues during the week and these were dealt with very efficiently by Liam.

It would be good if you could send an email to parents at the end of the course with list of the useful links that were put in the chat area during the week. As you can imagine the kids do not bookmark these links and they would be very useful for parents to have.

We weren't convinced our daughter, aged 7, would stay engaged in the sessions but she wanted to do the course after watching her sister doing the course. She doesn't have a long attention span. During (school) home learning we noticed her getting bored and trying to avoid going to her online sessions. She loved her (FunTech) sessions, staying really focused we could hear her answering lots of the questions and creating some really cool mods.

She is really proud of her creations and has sent photos to her friends.

Her tutor was really helpful when the students had problems, answering questions and finding solutions. She's had a brilliant camp - thank you!

My 11 year old son loved this and was very excited about his design. The tutor, Connor, was very friendly and informative. He also was great at helping us set up the Virtual Window at the start of the first session. Overall highly recommended!

The course was great but what impressed me even more was FunTech's real desire to make sure that every child was on a course for their level, that they were enjoying it and were learning. It was genuine care not a case of taking your money and that was it. My son found his original course too challenging so the Fun Tech team got on the phone and rang me with suggestions for alternatives. They clearly wanted to make it a great experience for him. I wouldn't hesitate to book again with FunTech.

We are not locals in UK, but we managed to enrol our kids for the 2 weeks virtual camp. We are living in Asia. The 9am class was perfect for our kids which was 2pm here.
The tech support was great and prompt in solving any problems we had.
Mike was the teacher for the camp. He was excellent and very patient with the kids. He started off with the basic introduction of Minecraft which was good for kids who hasn't played Minecraft before.
Mike always check that all the children have managed to complete the stage before he goes on to the next step.
My son, Tristan was glad that he learnt to create the elevator which was really cool. This course gave him more insight of what other creations he can do.
Tristan is looking forward to have another virtual camp with Funtech.

My son says ‘amazing’

In his words “Teacher was nice. It was fun. Helpful teacher. Learnt a lot. Other kids were nice. Can now do lots of loops” (whatever that is!!).
From my point of view, he was happy and engaged and enjoyed each session.

Great course

My son loved the 3D game designer course. He’s 12 and it was just right for him. The tutor guided the children through how to use the software and helped them with anything they got stuck with when designing their own games. The perfect course for creative minds!

My son Alex has very much enjoyed the course Roblox Game Developer. It was his second course with Funtech following Python Coder. Alex was really looking forward to learning how to develop a Roblox game. During the course, he learnt everything he needed to know about programming a Roblox game. He did not quite finish creating his first game by the end of the one-week course but he is certainly on track to complete the work on his own. Staff were really helpful and responsive to his needs and wishes on daily basis. Thank you very much!

I had two children on the course. It was perfect for my older child (12) who had some Python experience previously, so he enjoyed the new skills learned on this course. I would only recommend this course for younger children if they have the typing skills required and some knowledge of Python as it was a little bit tough for my 10 yo to keep up. He did however, learn about the world of Python and walked away with some amazing new skills to build on but required support from his parents during the week to keep up. Overall, the teachers were very helpful and stepped in every time someone needed help. I would definitely recommend FunTech half-time courses to parents as they a great way to give your children a chance to learn new skills.

The tutors connected really well with both of them.

* teacher was excellent. he made the kids engage in discussion and that helped understanding/revision very well
* overall this was a good course that brought a lot of confidence in coding for Vidya.

My 10 year old enjoyed this course very much. It was structured well and he looked forward to his daily session. He has attention issues and struggles at school, but despite this, managed to engage well with the virtual course and learned a great deal.

We enrolled our son VIR for the Minecraft with mods 2 week summer camp and he enjoyed it so much that we reenrolled him for the next level post that. Not only did he learn a lot but it was a fun experience the entire virtual class. Very well organised and structured and attention was given to details and every child needs.. I remember getting a call back one evening to check on my son Vir as a follow up of what he learnt in class to make sure his query was answered and understanding was clear.
Highly Recommend this camp/class !

Fantastic camp experience. My son really enjoyed the tutor who would stay on the call after camp ended to talk to my son about the challenge tasks. At the end of the course, my son had a real love for Python coding and keen to do more courses. Highly recommend the course.

Minecraft with Mods

My daughter attended the two week Minecraft with Mods program. She absolutely loved it (and didn't mind being the only girl!). It was a great blend of being able to spend time playing Minecraft but also creating new items for the game. She would like to do it again.

Good precursor to GCSE

My son had a very enjoyable week learning python virtually and has been enthused to do coding on his own. Most importantly he did this course just prior to starting an IT GCSE and he feels it has given him a good step up. Great trainer, very good at capturing the children’s attention virtually.

Great virtual python course

Excellent course, very well run and the trainer captured the children’s attention - no easy feat virtually. Content was well thought through and the kids learnt a huge amount. More importantly perhaps my son had a very enjoyable week!

Minecraft Engineering Camp

my son thoroughly enjoyed this camp. In particular, using logic gates and exploring all the features of Redstone. This was the well-designed camp, making each session lots of fun.
