My son found the camp worthwhile and definitely improved his knowledge.
Virtual learning is always challenging but this was well organised and professionally delivered.
He did wish that there had been more interaction with other students, they learn from each other. I did feel that the students should have been requested/invited to show their faces rather than blank images. Face to face, even online is really important for understanding learning. This was not childcare for Owen but an opportunity to support his knowledge in readiness for his GCSE’s. I would definitely recommend.

Much more fun than school

Super fun and good for entry level game design. Really engaging and great teachers. It’s learning about tech in an interesting way - much more fun than school. I’d really recommend this to other people.

My son enjoyed the course

My son enjoyed the course and had a real sense of achievement. His teacher was able to engage him and as such I didn't have any trouble getting my son to attend each day.

Indie Game Coder

My son really enjoyed the indie game coder course using Construct3 and has clearly learned a lot. He is able to create simple games independently and has lots of ideas for how to push his new skill forward.

Python Coding Camp

A great week

My child found the start of the course a bit slow and would have liked some differentiation across the class, but overall they really enjoyed it and felt they had learned from the week. They found the teachers very helpful.

Divya was delighted to have completed the Cyber Hackathon course. Even though it was hard in the beginning for her(she has just completed year 8), the staff happily went over it again and again and she was understood the course and was very happy to do it.
She is considering a career in Cyber Security, so this course has laid a good groundwork in that journey.
As parents, we were happy with the course, location, facilities and friendly and knowledgeable staff.

My son enjoyed the course, and liked the teachers and other boys, but I didn't think the venue was really very appropriate for a group of this age group (predominantly 7-9). A school setting with much quicker and easier access to the outside to burn off steam would be better for the children and for the staff, with the serviced offices saved for older groups. I don't think it is healthy for young children to be kept inside for hours on end without fresh air. I would certainly be keen for him to attend another Funtech course, but would not book at this venue again.

I was disappointed that the original course we booked was cancelled, Lego Robotics Coder, as I think my son would have got more out of getting to build a physical robot. I hope that course will be offered again another session.
I was also disappointed that the original mid-July dates were cancelled. I am sure I am not the only parent who was delighted to find a course early in the school holidays, as many things only start when state school holidays do. It was a blow when it was cancelled.

My 11 yo enjoyed the course, was eager to get on with his work, and looked forward to it starting. The tuition was excellent and my son learnt a lot of the basics of programming Python. Working over two weeks of half-days helped him stay focused. He thanked me, dad, for funding the course, and i'm now in his good books! He will be doing Python OOP next.

Our 12 year old son was a beginner in Java at the start of this course. I asked him after it finished whether he would recommend it. The answer was yes, for the following reasons:
- Liked the teaching style
- All the questions were answered
- Friendly atmosphere.

By the end, he has written is first gaming project as an independent exercise, up to 250 lines of code and counting.
Would highly recommend this course.

Very good camp

We have two weeks python level 2 camp, which our ten year old son enjoyed very much every day. At the end of the camp he was able to make simple text and video games with Python. We look forward to subscribe him into next level soon

I LOVE THIS course and every thing is great but i found a few things hard but i like taking my time

BEST MINECRAFT CAMP EVER!!!

This camp was amazing as the tutor was kind and helpful the whole way through. The best part was that the tutor helped everyone and if you were left behind he would help you catch up.

The course was really fun and I learnt quite a lot about redstone despite playing Minecraft for 4-5 years. I'll be sure to use some of this in my survival worlds!

I really enjoyed FunTech

I personally think that doing coding in FunTech was really enjoyable and its a really fun experience to learn how to code and make a few friends too (maybe).

Fantastic Funtech!

I have really enjoyed Funtech as I've learnt so many new things in python such as the different kinds of loops and nesting if and elif statements. I have learnt about how to ask the user for an input and much more code; even indenting! I had fun and i was able to make my own projects.

I liked it because it was easy but I didn't like the fact my interenet disconnected.

Amazingly well planned out course, covering a wide range of relevant topics which will help me with computer science A-level. The instructor was very helpful as well.

Python Object Oreinted Programming

The python OOP course was very informative and helpful in making GUIs.

Great Course with a great teacher

This was a great course and I learnt loads. The teacher was great. I would definitely recommend the course and I would definitely do another course with Funtech.

Amazing

It has been really good and I have enjoyed it and really learned a lot. It was fun and I liked all the projects we did. He was very nice and helped with anything I needed help with.

Great Lessons

Personally I loved the experience of making games in python. You start off with nothing and then you add some things and you can see a game coming together. I had a lot of fun during these two weeks.

Great fun

It was very fun to learn to code our very own video game and good experience and practise for someone looking to program as a career. The tutor was very helpful and kind. Overall it was a great opportunity and I'm glad I took part!

The best camp ever!!!!!!

OMG I really enjoyed my week of online python coding camp, I learnt allot of new things about python which I didn't know before. I give this camp a 10/10, five stars, I really don't see any problems. In my opinion it went on for an hour too long, but al-in-all it was good fun.

I signed up for this course as a way to get a head start for my computer science GCSE. It has been very helpful and I have learnt a lot. The course has focused on learning and has still kept me entertained. My favourite part of the course has been doing the final assessment. If I could improve one thing it would be that instead of having two 15 minute breaks in the morning it could be 1 half hour break.
