A Very Enjoyable Camp

I see many scathing reviews with one star, but they don't say anything constructive. This camp stretched my knowledge of Python, but the regular, short breaks and the odd crack of a joke definitely helped with it sticking into my long-term memory. Thank you FunTech!

The course was very informative and also fun at the same time.

This was very helpful and I thoroughly enjoyed learning , trying to create fun projects along with overcoming challenges.

Overall I enjoyed it

The course contents were manageable however I felt some topics we went through too quickly and I didn't grasp as much of an understanding to maybe due to lack of time?
Overall fun challenges though and constant interaction which was helpful

OOP Python - A brilliant next step course

This was my son's third course with Funtech. Support for the set up ahead of the course was brilliant and everything ran smoothly. He had a fun week and managed to progress a project he has been working on with some new ideas from the instructor as well as completing the coursework. Thank you.

The camp was great.

At first, I thought it would be very hard but over time, I learned that coding can be fun and there are many things that you can do with it. The teacher is very nice and it is easy to follow along with the whole class. It also helped my social skills as I got to learn from other students.

I really enjoyed my virtual camp. The content was detailed and engaging with fun extensions and projects that challenged you to think deeply and apply your knowledge. Although the course was online it did not stop the classroom environment or me and my class mates participation. Our tutor was really friendly and had a solution to all our python errors, he made sure we all had a good understanding of each unit before we moved on. Overall I loved it and would highly recommend it to any students interested in python.

Overall, this camp has been a great experience and I've had lots of fun. Harry's been a great tutor and has helped me and everyone else in the class massively with our coding. Towards the start of the week, the teaching was a bit more bumpy, when compared to how smooth it is now. This is most likely because we had just met each other, and he didn't know which areas we personally needed most work on. Now, at the end of the week, each day is a much better experience because he knows how to most efficiently get the group to work, meanwhile making sure the lessons are engaging and enjoyable. Well done Harold! :)

I have massively enjoyed this virtual camp and I have learnt lots about OOP and have had lots of fun, I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who is interested in python and coding in general. I would also like to mention that my tutor for this course (Harry) did a brilliant job and thanks to him I understood everything that we did and all of the tasks by the end of the camp so a big thanks to him as well. FunTech is a brilliant way to get into and learn how to code.

My son is enjoying the course. The teacher is enthusiastic and professional in teaching. Class size is small, so each student can receive sufficient support. The teacher frequently checked if students understand or able to follow up. I would recommend this course to my friends.

2 Week Java Coding Camp Review

It was very fun and we went through a lot and finished early and I felt like I learnt a lot. The Tutor was really nice and helped me through it as well.

I was able to learn many things about python and I was able to make many programs that helped me understand python more. I was also able to have fun during the class because of the variety of programs that I learned.

during the past 2 weeks I have been fascinated by everything you can do in python; from GUIs to graphs. overall, I think I have learnt a lot of diverse things as well as had lots of fun doing it.

It was very fun!

I love the problem-solving aspect of it all, and the tutor really helps you to get to the conclusion yourself, and not just give you the answer just to forget it a few minutes later.

Helped my son immensely on his coding journey

My son enjoyed the course.

2nd course , with a different teacher but same excellent tuition keeping my son involved. The teacher also provided an additional session at the start as my son had not grasped some points. Very happy with the course and Teachers.

Great course, well taught

It was a good course and the teachers was good. Some parts were conceptually hard for my 12 year old to get his head around but that didn’t take away from his enjoyment.

Excellent experience

my 11 year old hugely enjoyed the Python OOP course. It was just the right level of difficulty and he was very proud of himself when he completed the course. As a parent I appreciated the level of support from Funtech. One day my son could not complete the assignment as he missed the instructions...

I messaged FunTech on the day, received a call back in the evening and we scheduled a morning catch up for my son with his tutor. problem solved and confidence restored!

He said he would recommend the course and he found that the tutor was explaining very well. It was our first camp and virtual camp with Funtech and we will come back for more. As a parent, I was impressed by their thorough follow up: one morning my son put a comment in his session feedback form about not having understood something and the next minute, I get a phone call from the office to offer a catch up lesson!!! They seriously want every pupil to really and fully understand their daily lesson. A very impressive and professional customer service.

Funtech python course review...

I very much enjoyed this course, it was interesting, well taught and fun! I got enough support when I needed help and I learnt a lot.

Funtech - OOP!!!

In this course we have learnt about many things and learining about functions and tkinter. We have learnt how to make windows and canvases; we also cover things from the previous course on the first day. We made different graphs and learnt about more advanced data types.

am very happy with my coding it very fun learning new code and i have a very fun time

Lots of fun

In this Funtech class I had lots of fun and learnt a lot about coding in python. I would recommend it to other children who want to learn how to code.

End of week review

A lot of the things covered during the course felt rather confusing, however the tutor would always be open to help and would always do walkthroughs to make sure everyone understood and would stop for one person if they didn't understand. Good course all-round.
