Course is extremely expensive for what it is, a touch typing course! There should also be a decent discount for siblings & returning customers. Other course providers nearly always provide this. I won't be signing up to anymore FunTech courses as a result of the cost, which is a shame. I have been

I am sorry to read that you feel our courses are too expensive and so won't be signing up again.

Looking at your booking I can see that this is the first holiday camp booking for your children with FunTech and that Maeve did some term time courses with us previously.

All returning customers have early access to both our February Sale and Early Bird Discounts. I can see from our internal system that emails for both of these were sent to and received by you, including any reminders.

The fees are heavily discounted for February Sale and then there is a little discount for the Early Bird, before we return to full fees.

The certificate for the completion of the course has been posted to your parent portal and notification was sent to you on the Friday the children completed their course.

The children have access to their FunTyper accounts for a further three months after the course to continue building their touch typing skills. These accounts also contain all the metrics you mention above.

Building muscle memory can only be done through repetition and so engaging children to do the same thing over and over and over again for a whole week to build good muscle memory AND ensure they enjoy it makes this our toughest course to deliver. It demands an enormous amount of energy and dedication from our team of tutors.

Glad to read they enjoyed it and that our tutors were good.

Wishing you and the children all the best for the future.

The money referred to here are Amazon vouchers. The children earn tokens for working hard and unlocking new letters which are then converted to an Amazon voucher at the end of the course.

lot of fun and enjoyed the chorce even though it got a bit boring typing non stop for 5 hours.

FunTech Response

Sorry to hear you found it a bit boring. Sadly the best way to build good touch typing muscle memory is through repetition.

We try to add lots of different games and challenges to break it into little segments.

Nice to see that gave it 5 stars even though it was a challenge.

it was a bit boring at the start but it got better by far

FunTech Response

The start of the course can be a little as you say 'boring' as you have so few letters and only a couple of games, but as you progress and unlock more letters and games, it becomes a lot more engaging.

Sadly we can't change the format. :)

Funtech Camp - Generally Good

The camp was alright. I disliked the removal of tokens part. The course however was good. It is a good camp, fun but one improv

However, as you mentioned you were super hot, we did get a dedicated fan for you and made sure you were regularly hydrated.

Glad you had fun though.

Teachers made it worth it!

Touch typing is never going to be the most interesting thing in the world however the teachers really do listen to you. Will give you a useful skill, the course was good but maybe needed 2 weeks to be able to fully touch-type. :)

FunTech Response

As you say whilst it's not one our most exciting courses, it does deliver one of the most valuable skills.

The concept behind this course is that we give you all the building blocks build a good part of your muscle memory and then you have a FunTyper license for 3 months, so you can continue practising and improving.

FunTyper was fun but the games get boring after a while.

I thought that this week was fun since we were playing the games and learning at the same time! But I have still not learnt all of the keys this week.

The concept behind this course is that you learn the methodology for touch typing, build a substantial part of your muscle memory and then are given a 3 month FunTyper license so you can continue practising and completing all the keys.
