Tom had a wonderful few days on the Minecraft Coder camp. He enjoyed all the activities, especially the chance to learn a little diving in the pool. He would have liked to do this all week long, as an addition to the coding! He thought the staff were wonderful. For a child that doesn't like being away from home, he enjoyed himself and in the latter part of the week didn't feel the need to call home in the evening. Thank you for making it such a great experience!

My son thoroughly enjoyed the virtual Minecraft Coder camp - I was a little concerned he might get bored and not complete it but instead he couldn’t wait each day to resume and was very disappointed when it ended as he just wanted more! The tutor was excellent, keeping them motivated, engaged and included and I will definitely be booking another virtual camp next school holidays!

Has a lot of fun

Enjoyed him thoroughly, very organized and hassle free, good motivating fun for the kids!

Nice fun!

Kids really enjoyed, it is definitely a camp with some extra lux to it - there was nothing the children faulted, from food to leisure activities and learnt a lot about Minecraft coding as well in the process and were excited to continue learning after they got back.

Minecraft Coding

My daughter attended the Minecraft Coding residential camp.

She returned full of new ideas and enthusiastically spoke about everything she had learnt and the friends she had made, she's already considering next year's course!

My son has loved every single minute of camp and can’t wait for next year.

He said the only thing that he wished they done, but didn’t was the initial mixer, ice breaker activity. But he still made friends and loved his tutor, friends, the course, scuba diving and evening games. Oh and he tells me the food was also amazing.

From a parents point of view, I’d of liked updates during the week… maybe a Facebook group or page where we can see photos of what the children are getting up to. Or text updates. (Helicopter parent alert! Sorry!) Especially as my son was terrible at remembering to ring me, on account of all the fun he was having.

BUT ~ massive thanks. He’s loved it.

Funtech is an amazing experience. The Tutors and the General people there are very good. I went from a hello world code to copying buildings in one day. ONE DAY! The other days of the week I progressed farther then I thought was possible in one week! The coding teachers have coding knowlege that is AMAZING!!! I learnt so much I thought was inpossible and I love funtech! The food is good and the knowlege I gained, in and out of the code room, has been fantastic! Thanks to Funtech I will look fowards to come next year!

it was good

most of my week was brilliant it was the middle pats of the trip that didnt go so well but my favourite part of the trip was the scuba diving which was brilliant

FunTech Tonbridge Minecraft Camp

My time here at the funtech camp has been amazing. When you first arrive you will be petrified but by the morning you will have fitted in and feeling right at home. The food is amazing.

A very fun and entertaining activity!

The teacher was really nice and our course (Minecraft coding) was very interesting. We got to make games wit code and it taught us skills that we could apply to other coding games too. The other people were really nice and it was taught at a great pace so you can keep up.

An Amazing Lesson

i really enjoyed these lessons i learnt much more than i did at my school. The teacher helped us and explained to us everything in a way we would understand. i really liked my teacher he was nice, funny and helpful. I learnt a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FunTech was a very fun experience for me, and I learned a lot on new things and my skill to code has improved a lot, and The Tutor was very nice and always helped when I needed help. Overall A very fun experience and I Highly recommend it.

I think it was a brilliant week, and I liked how the teachers were always listening to what the children said.

My Week Review of FunTech

The tutors were very funny and enjoyable to spend time with, I learnt a lot about block coding and how logic coding works as well as loops, functions and variables. Fabian, Alliyah and (sometimes) Diya were my tutors and taught me very well, with a perfect balance between coding and playing.

My 11-year-old daughter thoroughly enjoyed this course. It was a well-balanced blend of skills teaching alongside enough free-building opportunities that she felt like she was playing more than being 'schooled'. Her speed of building improved significantly because of the new techniques she learned, enabling her to attempt more ambitious projects (e.g. the whole of Hogwarts). The team also did an excellent job of entertaining children during breaks outside, so there was no problem with eye strain or restlessness across the week. She's very keen to come back on a future camp!

The best of both worlds

My son loves Funtech courses. It keeps me happy because I know he’s having a positive educational experience and for my son he enjoys making new friends, learning and building on the computers and running and climbing about at play time. It’s the perfect mix!

My review of my week

Very good. I like playing Minecraft so I was thrilled to find out I would have one week of it. Overall the week was pretty good except when my little brother kept on blowing up my house and lying about it. The best bit is that I'm also coming here again next week! I can't wait!
