The Java Coder course is very fun with all the coding and flowcharts and all things to coding.
I really liked making a RPG game which would say like:
player 1 took 50 damage player 1 has 50 heath left.
As this is my first time coding (excluding Scratch and Raspberry Pi 2.0) it was a bit confusing so I got a bit upset but after awhile it got a bit easier.
I would recommend this to children that are into how games work and interested with code.

Good because you are not just coding, but doing activities as well.

Never had a week of summer as good as this

Funtech Java coder was so much fun, I've learnt loads this week and I enjoyed it all, if you're interested in computers in the slightest, you have to go, it's very interesting and there are many courses to choose from and a far as I know, I'll go every year.

It is an extremely good course, that should continue for years and years. It was really fun and I enjoyed it very much. The teachers are good and they make it fun so it does not feel like you are in a school.

Minecraft Mods

I really liked the Minecraft mods course because I like Minecraft and programming. When you actually create the mod, it feels AMAZING! The teacher was really nice and helpful.
At one point I did not want to go to break because I wanted to keep on modding.

The only thing was that the breaks were too long.

Good week

I liked when we programmed the robots to do different things. There is no funtech in surrey, so I have to wake up early to get here. The maze way fun!

As the oldest child on the 3d game design, I found this enjoyable. PROS: Simba (the lion king as he calls himself) was quite amusing. We made some cool games with the program. This course made me make up my mind to buy GameGuru (an updated version of the same game with more features) Teaches...

As the oldest child on the 3d game design, I found this enjoyable.
PROS:
Simba (the lion king as he calls himself) was quite amusing.
We made some cool games with the program.
This course made me make up my mind to buy GameGuru (an updated version of the same game with more features)
Teaches you skills for life (if you use Unreal Engine, Unity or GameGuru).
CONS:
The program (FPS creator classic) had bad graphics and had a tendency to crash.
Not worth £500, more like at most £400ish.
VERDICT
Overall I think this is worth going to, the most notable flaw being the amount of money it costs to come to.

The Camp was very good and told me how to make my own game and the tutor (Simba) was very helpful.

I AM NOW GETTING GAMEGURU YEA

this was fun and we had simba the lion king as are teacher and he let us do anything we want.
and now im getting gameguru (I called simba mr man)

I really enjoyed the course;We've learnt a lot about Java and about how to logicically think about problems,the teachers are nice and try to help you understand the answers to problems instead of just telling to you.

My son is learning a lot and for what I can see it is very well organised. I was impressed by the quick response of the organisers when I called in with a little concerned.

Catt is very nice and she codes very well. I had a great time this week, and I learned how to make the robot do a lot of good stuff . It was a very little group so it was Very good.

Are teacher was called Catt was a educational inspiration to nearly everyone on the same course said the same thing about her she was great in the fact that if you went wrong she would would show which part of the program that was incorrect.

I would recommend FunTech to any one who was interested I would also say how great it is

Both children (12 & 15) really enjoyed - good experience and sense of achievement!

No complaints. I'd recomend it to anyone

I really enjoyed the camp. I definitely learnt a lot from the camp and everyone was very friendly and helpful. I would've liked a bit more of a variety in the days but overall it was very enjoyable and I felt a sense of accomplishment after completing tasks.

Java Coder

An excellent course for those wanting to start or refresh their knowledge of Java.
It's a great basis for people looking to do later projects such as Minecraft mods.
Would recommend this course.

When they say funtech they mean it

I found funtech a amazing experience and have learned a lot from it . It has showed mean how to code and there are funny moments in this experience.

Fun, but can be confusing

Java Coder is fun, but some times the exercises can be very confusing, (e.g. Pythagoras) but otherwise it's a fun experience, and I will probably come back to do other camps.

The most interesting Summer camp I've been to so far

So far it has been an extremely enjoyable experience learning how to code using the language of Java (a programming language). from printing simple sentences in a straight line all the way to using 'While If Statements' to work out the values of 10 unique cards. Markus (my dedicated tutor) has helped me to achieve a lot what I have done so far. I will be attending the Minecraft Redstone course in a few weeks and I hope I will enjoy that one as much as I have enjoyed this one!

i found it very enjoyable and i would recommend it to all.

I loved being there. the atmosphere was great and the teachers (especially markus) were "fun" and encouraging. I was annoyed about the early wake up times but that was minor. I would love to return and and to carry on the coder camp.

It was great!

The stuff we learn was great, and the tutors were really understanding, but it could have gone a bit faster and gone into more complex code, though I understand that some students had to go at their own pace.
