Funtech is the best camp to learn coding and different games. I would rate funtech a 5 star out of 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The best summer camp I've ever done!

This course is one of the best things I have ever done . I have learnt so much from basic syntax to debugging my code and even how to create my own games. My Tutor was extremely helpful and patient with me and I am now confident with my Python skills.

Would highly recommend.

It was full of different things that we had to learn and it was not too hard for us to understand. The challenges near the end were very exciting to learn and do.

It was very fun, we were completing very engaging challenges and our teacher Armir is very helpful and answers our questions well, I learned so much over this week

I loved this course!

Throughout the 5 days of this course I was learning something new each day and felt more and more confident with handling python. At the start of the course I didn't really know what to expect however I loved it.

BEST YET it is so fun you can basically make ANYTHING in Minecraft with the mod developer the teacher was great it was so much fun and I learnt how to make FANTASTIC STUFF I didn't know before .

My daughter has been attending FunTech Virtual Term-Time Lessons since she was 7. This summer she attended her second residential camp at Tonbridge School. She especially enjoyed learning how to design and build her own game. The combination of overnight stay and excellent pastoral care has given her a real sense of independence. Sadly, she fell ill and was gutted to have to leave early, but she’s already looking forward to returning next summer.

Fantastic week! Our son had the time of his life and is determined to return next year! Thank you to Ben, Charlotte, JMA, Abul and Jo for their care and their teaching. Not only did he learn all about Roblox but he had a wonderful time scuba-diving, mixing with the other children and enjoying the field breaks, the game night and the movie night! The cookie breaks were also a real treat! On the services side, I understand the room was fab and the food was delicious too! Full marks for FunTech! See you next year!

My boys absolutely loved this course! They were a little nervous at first since it was their first time doing something like this, but those nerves quickly disappeared. The teacher was fantastic—so supportive, patient, and encouraging. He really made a big impact, and the boys were genuinely sad to hear he won’t be teaching the next part of the course.

The experience has sparked a real passion in them. They’ve already started applying what they’ve learned, building their own games and getting more and more creative every day. It’s been amazing to watch their confidence and skills grow so quickly. Highly recommend this course for any kids interested in game design!

The course itself was very fun! - I learnt a variety of skills and was introduced to many new aspects of Python programming that I was previously unaware of. While it was challenging, plenty of help was available from the tutor if necessary while still striking a good balance of help versus own work, promoting critical thinking and reasoning skills. I also liked how the course seemed to increase in difficulty as the days went on, as it provided a nice learning curve that allowed us to apply concepts learnt in previous days to later projects. Overall, a great course and would recommend to others!

Fantastic course

My son did the virtual Python Coding course this week and really enjoyed it. The teacher was very engaging and my son loved telling me every day about what he’d been learning. Really brilliant. Thank you.

It was good but quite hard

I was doing OOP and its was quite hard but the teacher helped me to understand. I also liked the fact that there were activities every night like a Minecraft tournament and movie night. The only problem is that the breaks are quite short but lessons are pretty good.

The lessons were interesting, the tutors (Brooke and Daniel) were really good and explained things well, boarding was fun overall, there were lots of activities and the pastoral tutors (Abul, JMA and Charlotte) were also really friendly

I think the weeks lessons are very good, why, because the staff are very nice, they make it very easy even when it looks hard and lastly, I think the time table is very efficient like the screen breaks and lunch times, I think they planed the time very well.

This year was our son’s third time attending the residential 3D Game Design coding camp, and once again, he had a fantastic experience. It’s become something he genuinely looks forward to each summer.
The classes are well-structured and engaging, with tutors who clearly know how to connect with young learners. Their teaching style makes a real difference—not just in how much the kids learn, but in how confident and motivated they feel. Our son always comes home excited to share what he’s built and eager to keep exploring game design.
Outside the classroom, the camp offers a great mix of evening activities and excellent pastoral care. The environment is welcoming and supportive, which has made a big impression on our son. He’s happy to attend even when he doesn’t know anyone else beforehand—a big deal for him, as he usually prefers camps where he goes with friends.
Overall, we’ve been really impressed with the consistency and quality of the experience. It’s a camp that combines learning and fun in a way that keeps kids coming back—and we’re glad our son has found a place where he feels so at home.
