Fantastic course. Natalie really enjoyed it. She has played Roblox for years and it was so good for her to start learning how to make the games herself.

Particular praise for Adrian who ran the course. He was so good with the kids - patient, encouraging, and supportive. A complete superstar.

Excellent typing course at Funtech's Smithfield venue. Very well organised for both parents and attending children. Great staff and and excellent location. The venue was very secure, well laid out and of a high standard. The staff were top class and both looked after the children well and made sure that the experience was indeed FUN(tech)! My child really enjoyed the course and learned a great deal without even really noticing it. I would definitely recommend both this course and Funtech more generally.

Great course, well taught

It was a good course and the teachers was good. Some parts were conceptually hard for my 12 year old to get his head around but that didn’t take away from his enjoyment.

I was really stressed about the coding part of my gcse computer science exam because I just couldn’t get the hang of it at school. I told my mum that I didn’t think I would do well in the exam, and she booked me on a 1 week python course at funtech.

My tutor was amazing, everything was broken down and explained clearly that it finally made sense.If anyone in the class had questions, she took the time to go over it until we all understood. Thank you funtech, your teaching is seriously good, and I will be back for more courses.

Just wish school taught like you guys.

Great Experience

Overall I enjoyed it and it helped me increase my programming skills although I felt like the work at the beginning was a bit too simple but those skills still helped me when i was doing my final project

WOW! is the only word that could possibly describe this course. It is one of the best experiences I've had (not to mention now I can tell my mum I learn when I play minecraft). On the first day of the course, in the morning, I thought it was gonna be really boring because we were watching videos how to play minecraft (as an experienced minecraft player i found this very dull) but in the afternoon we started coding and i had so much fun. In the week things I only dreamed of being able to do on minecraft such as: build minigames, make a robot build for me and much more. I found that having such a small group of people in the course made it easier for the teacher to help us and made sure no-one didn't get help and support. This was my first course with funtech but I assure myself i will do more in the future. I play minecraft a lot so now i will be able to show my friends all the experience I've gained. i am so pround of how i have grown in this past week.

the first and second day were kind of hard but then i started to understand thing on the third and fourth day. the fifth day was fun as i was making my own project and had full control over it

I liked the coding while building structures at the same time and using redstone in builds such as mazes and curcits. I like minecraft

my funtech course

my funtech course showed me basicaly all of the reasons to code and i found all of the codes we did super entertaining and fun.
our teacher even showed us how to make mini games! (in the whole course we made 3 whole mini games)
i hope that everyone else liked your minecraft coding course to.

The course was very good and all the tutors are nice and helpful they help you in a way that still teaches you. This is one of the better things the learning as that is what it is all about.

My only problem is the fact that it was obvious that you need a really powerful computer to do the course

3D Gaming Morning Sessions

I really enjoyed learning about how to make games and these skills will definitely help me in the future. By the end of the session I made a game with different triggers and triggerables and levels. My family also enjoyed looking at my game as well.

I've really enjoyed these past 2 weeks! My tutor has brought the whole subject of AI and Machine Learning to life, by making all sorts of agents to add to a CHATBOT! I've made a conditional agent, an add responses agent, a sentiment checker agent, a landmark detection agent, a Wikipedia agent, an image checker agent, a face detection agent, a cat/dog checker agent, a Tic Tac Toe agent, a flip a coin agent, a hangman agent, an RNG agent, a rock paper scissors agent, a calculator agent, a digit recognition agent, a blackjack agent, a mastermind agent, a snake eyes agent, a memory game agent and a joke agent. Many of these use AI and some use machine learning. (I have learnt a lot!!!). It's been a wonderful course and I would strongly recommend!!

As always the quality of the course is amazing and the tutor(s) are always so helping and encouraging towards the pupils. This was my 4th course I have done with FunTech, each time the lesson gets even better. The camp is set up in such a way that it follows on to another thing, increasing the knowledge of the course and the difficulty of the task. The tutor(s) are the most, if not, the best part of the course, they are so kind and always help when needed. I was stuck a few times on this particular course, but the tutor came to the rescue and helped me get back on track. Overall it was a great course and I would do it a million times over.

It was brilliant.

It was really fun we leant how built this and create terrane. We scripted cool things and I made lots of fun obbys. I created a cool map funtech is brilliant!

I really enjoyed the course with all the building and new things we learnt each day. Even though at the start there was and issue with the software and updates all of the technology team were very great at fixing the issue and then scheduling a catch up lesson.

My Review

FunTech is amazing! It helps me learn coding, and is a great beginner session. It helps me understand coding, parts, constraints, effects etc. I recommend FunTech for anyone who wants a head start on coding.

My 13 year old son, while slightly reluctant at first to do a course during the summer holidays, soon became engaged with it and said he learned a lot. He feels this has set him up well to start Year 9/GCSE computer science and also commented that the tutors were very nice.
